Message of the President on Albanian Earthquake

We have followed with great sadness the tragic evolution of the events caused by the violent earthquake that hit Albania last week, causing serious damages in terms of human lives and considerable destruction of the country's infrastructure.

In this painful circumstance, on behalf of all Med-TSO members, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and those who suffer as a result of this terrible tragedy.

We are confident that Albania will be able to overcome this disaster thanks to the combined efforts of the Government and all the parties involved in the rescue operations, including the OST teams, who have spared no effort in providing assistance and that have been forefront in helping the population and in bringing electricity to devastated areas.

Our solidarity and support is assured for Albania and its people in this painful ordeal.
